Person, or people, who are put in charge of First Aid Appointed Person(s) arrangements.

They must look after first aid equipment, including First Aid Kits, facilities, and take care of calling the emergency services when needed. They can also cover for someone with First Aid Training if they are unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances (annual leave does not count).

No formal first aid training is needed but an appointed person must always be available whenever people are at work.

An appointed person is not needed if there are adequate numbers of trained first-aiders.
